Interface Designs

I'm currently taking an interface design class. Our first assignment was to pick an institution that has a poor web interface and then design a more intuitive one. Then, we were supposed to design what the interface of this institution would look like in the "future". Come up with a solution for an interface that most effectively allows the institution to provide its service but that is not limited by current technology.

For my institution, I chose the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. My idea was that in the future, the RMV would become a privatized institution much like an insurance company. This would cause each RMV institution to have a particular brand and to provide better customer service. Because visiting the RMV is so boring and time consuming, this future RMV service would eliminate the need to visit the RMV at all. Rather, it would just keep a database full of an individuals files and update them automatically. If a user wanted to see their information being updated, they would need to go through a face scan in order to prove that it is actually them. However, the RMV has full control of an individual's  information and the user cannot prevent the RMV from changing their information. Likewise, they cannot force the RMV to update it.
